Continuing July

Last week ( July 9th ) I had a visit from Keah, Emmy and Finley. That's always fun and they stayed for a few days which made it extra fun. It's always a busy time with these delightful ladies....and on Friday I had a grandma day just with the girlies. We hopped on a metro bus ( a first for the girls) and headed downtown. We made a stop at my brother Eric's; hiked through the gardens, had oodles of fun at the new library; then hiked up to the Bengal Lancer stables...even more fun....caught the bus home....ate some lunch then down to the playground/splash pad !!! A great day indeed.

7-11 days

 

On a sad note...two friends died during this month.
Teacher friend Lillian Viau and childhood neighbor...Stephen Scanlan. I attended the Scanlan funeral . His family celebrated his life with great love and heartfelt sadness.
Also this month we said farewell to two apostles, Elder L.Tom Perry and Pres. Boyd K.Packer.

Mid-July photo memories

I love to snap photos at most events....because face it they do help me remember!! It's been a beautiful summer month...lots of sunshine, warm temps, and finally today I can even say beach time!!!
Canada Day was, I will confess, very quiet for us. It was good to see that some of the family were celebrating....even in the USA

Emmy getting a geology lesson from poppy...she loves rocks and says that she might be a geologist when she's bigger, or if not a cowgirl!!

We got some new babies too...sisters and childhood neighbors, Dina and Paola tried to deliver on the same day...Paola ( seen here) had Giulia on July 4th. Dina delivered Jack on July5th ( I haven't met him yet) Congrats to you both.
