IT'S 2016....and here is my January Blog

Here we go again. I have seriously thought that I would stop blogging in 2016 but instead I'm just revising my approach to my blog. I plan to make one post a month with a recap of the month, and loads of photos. I know that memories are important and with old age becoming more pronounced, and the memory becoming less ( pronounced) I knew that I couldn't just stop ( yet).

It's January 27th 2016. I'm ending the month with what I hope is my only cold of the winter. The head is stuffed, and the nose racing its own marathon. Olivia is here and thankfully she brought a special box of wee toys and is very preoccupied. ( TV helps too) Her other nanny house has flu germs in it so I guess I'm the lesser of the two evils.

January has been a fairly return to routine month. We've had some snow but also lots of mild days in between. The schools had at least one snow day and that made many happy. Olivia is here usually three days a week and loves her adventures at Kiddie Capers on two of those days. I have had some card making days, and quilt working days. I serve at the Temple on Saturdays, and that continues to be a wonderful part of my life. I have not been teaching this month as the SS pres. freed me up to attend a class on Marriage and Family relations. It has been an enjoyable break, and an interesting class. It leaves with many mixed emotions. Just wish that Bill was attending with me.

Gratitudes for January:
-Face time with children who live far away.Miss them so much
-Friends who call on me just to see how I'm doing.
-Plenty....I'm truly blessed to have all that I need and then some.
-Church...it refills my cup each week.
-Scriptures...starting a new study of the Book of Mormon, such a great book for our day
-Temple...always something to learn, and working with the best of people
-Family....how deeply I treasure my family and grateful that they are mine forever.
-Plan of Salvation....helps when we have to say farewell to friends.
-Visiting Teaching....best VT companion ever ( 18 years with sweet Joan Renshaw) and great friends to visit.

Happy New Year from the Family

Yes we all need a day in our bathrobe....and time to reflect on the month.

I think this about covers the month. I had over two hundred photos saved in my file. I enjoyed several face times with my Bridgewater beauties, and some with my Fab five....send me photos too !!!
Hope that your New Year is off to a good start.
Look for the Positive, and keep trying to be a bit better.
