FAREWELL TO FEBRUARY

Farewell to February....you've been a good month....I have crossed the bridge of 65 and I'm still here to talk about it !! haha
It is for sure the month of hearts and love. As I reflect on the photos that I've saved this month I know that my greatest love is family. I will also admit that my grandkidlings have all got a great grip on my heart....oh how I love these precious little souls.
February has been a beautiful month of light snow and almost spring days !! I have made some quilts, cards, and hosted a baby shower for Keah. I have had some delightful days at  the Temple and continue to be grateful for my opportunities to serve.
It was a month with another farewell, as another church pioneer Wilbur Moses left us. His celebration service was beautiful.

My photos are many, and I will add here that Miss Sophia sends me such precious pictures,DAILY. Thanks kiddo. Olivia comes to play with me often and I love watching her imagination blossom, especially in her art work. We continue to love our Kiddie Caper days!!
Finley and Emmy surprise me often with face time calls. I love their reading treats when they call. They sure are blossoming primary students.
Congrats out to our Jessica for her math. accomplishments, and band adventures. Also to Sarah on her soccer accomplishments !!! Georgia has an adorable new look...and she looks so much older.Cooper, we love hearing your comedic family quotes....and Jacob....I'm still waiting !!
Two new babies are almost here and we are so excited !!!
Farewell February...bring on March

Today I'm Sixty-Five

I just wrote the title of today's post, and no matter how I say it....65 sounds old.  It just really does! This is not my post for the month of February, but rather my birthday thoughts. It's early in the day, and I just finished some scripture study. I thought that was probably the best start to my day. I woke up to the continuation of our largest snowstorm for this winter. It's a day off for many, and well I remember the joy of a snow day !! I stayed in bed for a while, checked some facebook posts, and emails, and felt the good wishes of many. Thanks everyone.

As I studied the words of Lehi to his family this morning it made me reflective of my family. First I am filled with gratitude for my Mother. Once you become a mother you have a whole new understanding of this lady in your life. Thank you Mom for choosing to carry me for nine months, for enduring the pains of birth, and for being the best mother ever!!! I had a wonderful childhood, feeling very loved and well looked after. I love my Father deeply too for loving my mother, and providing the safe and happy home that I remember. We have a special bond Dad...especially on Feb.10th...and forever.

I'm a bit sad today that my own family are so spread out ( and snowbound) and that I can't have them here. My children are so dear to me and have given me so many precious memories. They have always given me unconditional love, and they make me so proud for the fine adults that they have become. Added to that are the icing on my cake....GRANDCHILDREN....and I have been royally blessed. Each one of these children are treasures to me.....I love them all so much. I'm so excited that two more babies will join  our family this year !!What a privilege it is to be called Nanny, and Gramma....and whatever else they call me. I love when Olivia slips and calls me Mommy....but then she giggles and says...well you are a mommy!!!

Just to mark this day I want to say with my family, and my dear friends a huge THANK YOU for making my life as full as you have. I am grateful for a loving husband who constantly reminds me that he is younger. He has been a great provider, a strong father, a fun Poppy, and  the biggest Disney nut ever.

I will close this post with the other important part of my 65  years...my testimony of Jesus Christ.   What a glorious thing it has been to come to know the Savior and to have received my own personal map for this journey here on earth. Having the knowledge that I do, and the constant comfort and strength of the Holy Ghost in my life has been such a tremendous blessing. If I could give any gift today to mark this year it would be to share this knowledge with you. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is once again on the earth again. We have prophets ,seers and revelators who receive direction for this earth.  The scriptures testify of this and to this I add my witness.  Life will not always be easy, but when we keep covenants, and follow the Savior's example we can accomplish anything. Be obedient and faithful.

Happy Birthday to me.
