October brings us two fun holidays. First Thanksgiving and we added apple picking to that weekend. My life is so very full of blessings, and if I 'named them one by one', I'd be writing an endless post. We did Thanksgiving dinner on the Friday of the weekend, then apple picked on Saturday. While family activities are fun, they are also a time of missing my western children. :(
The Monday of Thanksgiving weekend brought our special visitors as Paul and Edie Smart arrived for their first visit to NS. We have known these sweet people for more than twenty years and have visited in their Salt Lake home on several occasions. Their awesome son, Jason served his mission here in Halifax. I loved sharing our home and our province with these folks. Their visit was much too short.
Our second celebration was Halloween...and it was delightful to have Mike and Keah in town to celebrate with the kiddies. Loved seeing Olivia, Emmy and Finley trick or treating together.
Three other special events ....Happy Birthday to Miss Sophia May on October 2nd .That year sure flew by. We all love you so much.
General Conference was it's awesome self this month. Three new apostles were called which was exciting...Elders Rasband; Stephenson and Redland. The conference was a spiritual feast.
The third event was actually on November 1st. Michael graduated from Mount Saint Vincent with his Masters Degree in Education. We are so very proud of him.
Other snippets of news....Laura is back at work in Calgary;
Jeremy received his Canadian Residency; Kathy is working like crazy as a teacher assistant ( she also worked the election like her dad); Sophia is walking; Sarah attended a cool soccer camp with the Canadian soccer team; Bill worked lots during the month leading up to the election; we have a new Prime Minister...Justin Trudeau; Stake Conference was great...especially Pres. Fox's talk; Sisters Leila White and Sister Hodder passed away this month; and so much more....but time to upload some photos...
