April was one of the busiest months. After a quick trip to Saskatchewan, we returned to Calgary, finished more paper work, and waited for the arrival of Connie and Olivia. They came up from Washington to help move us and to have some more Canada time. Friday was passport day and that's not a story that I will post about....but it wasn't pretty. Laura did some Calgary sites with Connie and Olivia while I played at home with the girls.
Saturday we headed south to feast one more time on the beauties of Waterton. What a beautiful place ( even if I thought that I might die hiking Bear's Hump ) The view from the top was so worth it, and Lucy even got nursed on top of the hump ! We visited with old friends, David and Hazel Goble, chased mountain sheep, and stopped for a visit at the Temple.
Sunday was a quieter day. Some of us headed to church but because of a stake conference elsewhere we ended up at the Calgary Temple....it's a long story. We found a church service later in the day.
Monday, amidst more passport drama, we readied ourselves for one more adventure. Today's outing took us to Banff for Beavertails and a birthday lunch !! It's Laura's birthday. The beauty around Banff was once again spectacular. We roamed the big hotel, and in and out of the shops of Banff. We then headed off to Lake Louise ( a first for me), and despite the hot temperatures of the day the Lake was 7/8 frozen. It was still pretty amazing and the end to a pretty great day. I still owe Laura a treatzza pizza birthday cake, and a birthday dinner. ( We were so tired and we still had two cars to pack )
Tuesday...oh Tuesday....the passport came through and after goodbyes to sweet Brianna we headed to Washington. Stay tuned!!!
